A Major Addition to One of Australia’s Leading Cricket Podcasts
Winner of the 2024 Radio Today Sports Podcast of the Year (Indie), Cricket Unfiltered has been a consistent voice in Australian cricketmedia since launching in 2013.
Stuart MacGill:
MacGill’s career spanned an era of Australian dominance, where he built a reputation as one of the game’s most skilful spin bowlers, despite competing in the shadow of Shane Warne.
Speaking on the podcast, MacGill said:
“I’ve mucked around with cricket media a bit in the past, but the timing feels right for me now. More than anything, it’s a good fit — and I get to work with someone I’ve known for a long time and trust as much as I’m ever going to trust anyone.”
Founder’s Perspective
Andrew Menczel, founder of Cricket Unfiltered and Piccolo Podcasts, said MacGill’s appointment was a natural evolution for the show.
“I’ve always loved Stu’s thinking on the game and have a huge amount of respect for him, so I’m absolutely thrilled to have him on the show and really looking forward to this partnership. It’s great for the cricket community to hear his thoughts.”
