For 2026, the Football Content Awards category line-up has been refreshed to reflect the ever-evolving world of football content.
This year sees the introduction of Best Written Football Content, celebrating outstanding articles, features, analysis, editorial work and website-led football coverage.
We've also introduced Best World Cup Coverage, recognising the creators and organisations producing exceptional content around the biggest football tournament on the planet.
These updated categories provide creators, clubs, publishers, broadcasters, podcasts, fan communities and organisations with even clearer pathways to showcase their work and gain the recognition it deserves.
Complete the official FCA 2026 nomination form to enter yourself, your organisation or someone whose work deserves recognition.
Each nomination should include:
This is your opportunity to showcase what makes the content unique, highlight its impact and explain why it stands out from the crowd.
Once nominations close, entries will be reviewed, cleaned and organised by category.
The judging panel will then assess the nominations and help determine the final shortlists. Judges will review the information submitted, alongside relevant public content and supporting links.
Nominations will be assessed as follows:
Quality
The standard of the content, production, writing, presentation or creative execution.
Consistency
Regular output and sustained quality across the year.
Innovation
Originality in format, approach, voice, platform use or creative idea.
Audience Engagement
The ability to build, retain and connect with a football audience.
Impact
The wider influence or importance of the work within football content, media or fan culture.
The final award winners will be decided through a combination of judging and public voting.
The judging process helps determine quality, impact and shortlist strength, while the public vote gives fans and audiences the chance to support their favourites.
This ensures the awards reflect both industry recognition and audience support.
Winners will be announced live at the Football Content Awards 2026 this November.
Across the main categories, Gold, Silver and Bronze honours will be recognised.
The Hall of Fame Award will be treated separately from the main public categories and will recognise long-term contribution to football content, media and digital football culture.
